Actress Selma Blair Discusses Role In Newest Comic Book Superhero Movie

SCRIPT: Entertainment Now, I’m Matt Kelly. Hollywood loves it super-heroes. First there was Superman, then Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk. Continuing the trend of bringing comic book superheroes to life, now there’s Hellboy. Based on the Dark Horse comic book series of the same name, the supernatural-action adventure stars Ron Perlman, who played the Beast in the television series “Beauty and the Beast”, and Selma Blair. I recently spoke with her about the film.

CUT: (Blair) Hellboy is about a demon baby raised for good taken into the paranormal research department of the United States FBI, where he meets Liz Sherman, firestarter who is there under tragic circumstances, and he falls in love with her, and he goes out and fights the forces of evil everyday. I think anyone who sees this movie will not be disappointed. It was, you know I just wish all the success for it and its’ filmmakers, it was a true labor of love.

SCRIPT: Directed by Guillermo del Toro, the film also stars actors John Hurt and Jeffrey Tambor and is playing nationwide. I’m Matt Kelly.
