Lighting Up London For Star Wars Vs Star Trek
A group of young graffiti artists have taken to the streets of London to celebrate the launch of Star Wars Vs Star Trek on Sky Movies; but they’re doing nothing illegal, as their weapon of choice is not paint... but light.
Their new technique, known as lightwriting, is the brainchild of a talented Cologne-based crew called Lichtfaktor. The labour intensive process does not involve any digital effects or CGI. The artists use time-lapse photography and painstakingly craft images using glowsticks, flashlights, reflectors and torches.
The group were originally discovered on youtube by Sky Movies and commissioned to produce a short film to co-incide with its Star Wars Vs Star Trek season, showing all this week on Sky Movies Sci-Fi & Horror.
