Marvel Hero Collection Available To Own On DVD From 17th November 2003
Watch out bad guys, and evil criminal masterminds everywhere, for the first time ever, three of Marvels’ best loved super-heroes are banding together to form the ultimate fighting force this Christmas. Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk and X Men’s Wolverine will be available to own in a limited edition DVD collection from 17th November 2003.
The Hero Collection features insights into the secret pasts of our favourite super-heroes and gives us a glimpse of how they became three of the most powerful super-heroes in the animated world. This exciting collection is the best way to learn more about your favourite Marvel super-heroes and is the perfect gift for Christmas for Marvel fans, DVD collectors and super-hero enthusiasts everywhere. This limited edition, collectors set includes:
• Spider-Man: Ultimate Villain Showdown This animated series is a great way to experience Spidey’s web-slinging action. The four-part story contains some of Spider-Man’s most thrilling battles with his most dastardly foes, the twisted Doctor Octopus and flying fiend the Green Goblin. With huge explosions last-minute rescues and terrifying criminal underworlds, the Spider-Man DVD is chock full of the unbeatable Spidey mayhem and is the one true way to get under the skin of the real Spider-Man. The featured stories are Making A Wish, Attack of the Octobot, Enter the Green Goblin and Rocket Ranger.
• Incredible Hulk Who dares to stand in the way of the human battering ram? This Christmas put out a mince pie and glass of sherry for the most fierce-some superhero of all because The Incredible Hulk is coming to stay. Based on Stan Lee’s original stories, the green Goliath features in four classic episodes charting how Dr Bruce Banner became the Incredible Hulk, his search for a cure and his fleeing from the forces of evil. The Incredible Hulk stories are Return of the Beast - Part 1, Return of the Beast - Part 2, Raw Power - Helping Hand and Iron Fist.
• X Men: Legend of Wolverine Born to a privileged family, young James Howlett was a sickly and distant child. Witnessing the brutal murder of his father, his latent mutant abilities emerge and the wolfish beast within the boy is unleashed. In an effort to heal the scars of his troubled childhood, the renamed Logan spends his time in the wilderness discovering his alliance with the wild beasts. It is here that Logan becomes the tenacious and ferocious legend Wolverine.
When Professor X invites Wolverine to join the X-Men, Wolverine finally finds the family he’s been looking for. Much of his life is shrouded in mystery and despite his brutish, exterior Wolverine becomes a legend among heroes. In these four action-packed episodes the legend of Wolverine is explored and his roots exposed as we learn of his journey from childhood to mutant prowess. Wolverine’s story is told in the following stories: Out of the Past parts 1 & 2, The Lotus & the Steel and Nightcrawler.
